The Barnbrook Studio has developed graphic identity of the St Petersburg Biennale of Museum Design. Participant of the Biennale 2016: head of the Museum Graphic Design workshop.
Jonathan Barnbrook is one of the most well-known graphic designers in Britain. Since 1990 he has worked with a mixture of cultural institutions, museum activist groups and charities as well as completing a steady stream of personal works. He is known for his collaborations with David Bowie and Damien Hirst, and his ubiquitous fonts designs released through Emigre and his company Virusfonts. He has completed identity projects with the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), Mystetskyi Arsenal (Kyiv), Mori Art Museum (Tokyo), Biennale of Sydney and many other museums. His contribution to graphic design was recognised by a major exhibition at the Design Museum, London in 2007. His work is on display in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
At the Biennale 2014 Barnbrook Design Studio developed design project of the Hospital as a Combat Zone in the State Memorial Museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad.
On 4 March 2014 Jonathan Barnbrook delivered a lecture on museum and exhibition design at the General Staff Building of the State Hermitage Museum.
